The Elm Road Drive-In Theatre was founded in 1950 by Stephen Hreno and wife, Mary. On August 3, 1950, the drive-in opened
its doors as a single screen, outdoor movie exhibitor. In the late 1970's, Robert Hreno, the present owner/operator and son
of Stephen Hreno, began designing a new state of the art 4,000 square foot concession stand that also included plans for a
second screen. His dreams finally materialized, and on August 3, 1979, a new grand opening of the Elm Road Twin Drive-in Theatre
was celebrated! Numerous improvements were made over the next several years including the construction of a new screen I, the
installation of a sound system to broadcast the movies in FM stereo through your car radio, and even new additions to the playground.
But, it didn't stop there! In the late fall of 2004, yet another screen was erected. Finally, in May of 2005, the Elm Road Triple
Drive-In Theatre was born, as screen III was opened to the public. Robert's wife, Grace, has been by his side at the business since
they were married in 1961. Their daughter, Sheri, has become increasingly involved with the drive-in's operations since the mid 1990's.
All three of Sheri's children presently work at the drive-in during the summer, too, which brings it to the 4th generation of the
original founding family now contributing to the operation of this drive-in! The family has re-invested continuously in this historic
business and are continuing to do so again in 2013, with plans to convert to new digital projection equipment on all 3 screens!
Family owned & operated, the Elm Road Triple Drive-In continues to entertain families with blockbuster movies since its beginning in 1950.

and have dinner with us before the movie starts! The continued success & operation of the drive-in depends on sales from the concession
stand. Our modern concession facility offers everything from the traditional popcorn & nachos, to freshly made pepperoni pizza, to fabulous
chili-cheese fries, not to mention a full dessert menu of hand-dipped ice cream, sundaes, floats & shakes, just to mention a few! The Elm
Road Triple Drive-In Theatre is now one of less than 400 remaining drive-in theatres in the entire United States. It is an entertainment
attraction as well as a historic attraction, and of course, a great American tradition! Make an old tradition a new tradition and visit us soon!
